Pickleball has become an increasingly popular sport in the United States over the last decade, with players of all ages and skill levels hitting the courts for some fast-paced fun. And now, USA Pickleball, the national governing body for pickleball, is taking steps to ensure that even more players can enjoy the game by adding two new age divisions.
Starting effective immediately USA Pickleball will offer two new age divisions to their Sanctioned Tournaments: The 30+ and 40+ Divisions. These new divisions will allow more players to compete against others in their age range, creating a more level playing field and encouraging more people to participate in the sport.
"We are excited to see the game continue to grow amongst our young adults and look forward to what the future holds," said Karen Parrish, Director of Sanctioning. "Offering the 30+ and 40+ divisions is just the beginning."
